Description

I'm in the process of switching over all my filters to 36mm to match the sensor on my 2600mm. Currently only the Luminous occupies my Filter Wheel as the others are all in transit. Plus, with clear skies and no Moon last night I wasn't going to miss that just because of a few missing filters. So here is the Flame Nebula in all its glory in broadband Luminous. As a result, stars are a little bloated and I caught some diffraction spikes (upper right) from nearby Star Alnilam magnitude 1.65. Other than that, I thought it was a good capture and decided to upload it especially since there doesn't seem to be many images of just The Flame without its neighboring Horse Head Nebula.

I intend to add Ha+RGB to the Lum hopefully next week if a cloudless window opens up.
Still not needing any calibration frames.

Thanks for checking it out and as always, Clear Skies to all.
Eddie
